Hi, I’m Isabella
I am a born and raised Florida girl who loves to garden, sew, take long walks with my husband and explore the natural world around me. I’m a bit of a history nerd too; I absolutely love historic places and the stories that they hold. I’d say stories are also why I love photography - ever since I first got my hands on a camera as a kid, I started to realize how powerful of a storytelling tool the camera was. I fell more and more in love with this medium as time went on.
I grew up as the girl that always had her camera in hand; photographing my high school’s sports games and events, my friends and our adventures, my family vacations, and nature. So, it was a no-brainer that I continued to pursue photography once I moved up to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida. I graduated with my Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in photography in 2015. I realized during my undergrad that I have both a love for art in many forms (I also got my hands messy (literally) exploring printmaking and ceramics) as well as the natural sciences; especially Florida’s wild ecosystems and the plants that are native here. So, I thought, “hey, what’s a couple more years of school right?” and pursued my Masters in Landscape Architecture, which I graduated from in 2022. All the while, I was continuing to photograph weddings, graduations, portraits, and all sorts of other special events that popped up in our lives.
Nowadays you can find me in Orlando, where my husband, our cat and I recently moved to. When I’m not taking photographs, I’m working for the University of Florida’s Center for Landscape Conservation Planning. We bridge the disciplines of landscape design, planning, and conservation. Sometimes I have to pinch myself when I realize how lucky I am to say all that! I absolutely love that I get to work with protecting wild Florida and continue my passion for photography.
As a photographer, I pride myself on being a fun-loving, optimistic presence with an eye for the sweetest authentic moments. From weddings, families, engagements, maternity, graduations and so on… ask, and I’ll be there to photograph it! I also love to travel, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you are located beyond central Florida.
